Work

We see every aspect our daily life as a living proclamation of our faith, and work is no exception. Each individual contributes as they are able to the upkeep and livelihood of the community and its mission. No one is paid for what they do, whether working as a plumber, cook, engineer, doctor, or teacher. Working together is an expression of our commitment to Jesus Christ and serving one another. Members do not pursue careers or status within or without the community nor undertake activities for the purpose of personal advancement.

Livelihood

Our businesses not only sustain our community movement economically, but also provide us with communal labor.  Further, they provide us with a means of supporting children and the disabled.  In offering products that enhance quality of life, we emphasize integrity, sustainability, and high-quality workmanship.

  • Community Playthings, our oldest business, has been manufacturing sturdy classroom furniture and educational play equipment for nurseries, kindergartens, and elementary schools around the world for more than fifty years.
  • Rifton Equipment designs and manufactures rehabilitation products for children and adults with disabilities.
  • Danthonia Designs produces three-dimensional signs.  Custom designed, they are sculpted, painted, and finished by hand.
